How To Get Started

Pilates Mat
Pilates Mat Classes do not use equipment and focus on core stability, spinal flexibility, alignment, precision of movement and the use of breath. These classes cover the traditional exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, as well as contemporary modifications and exercises aimed at increasing body awareness and control. Pilates Mat improves posture, strengthens the core, and integrates movement patterns to challenge mental and physical coordination.  Group Pilates Mat classes are held in the Group Exercise Studio and there is no additional charge or sign up required.

Reformer
This innovative machine is the heart of equipment-based Pilates training. Originally designed for rehabilitation and later refined for athletic training, the Reformer allows you to personalize your workout with varying degrees of resistance and assistance. The Reformer enhances movement awareness and control through a flowing, full body workout that increases core strength, coordination, and improves alignment and muscular balance. 

Instruction

Private/Semi-Private Instruction
Private instruction on the Pilates equipment or on the Mat is available for individuals as well as groups of two or three. These sessions are ideal for people who desire more focused attention on specific personal goals, or who wish to expand their Pilates practice to include other Pilates apparatus not featured in group classes, such as the Tower and  and Barrel. Private sessions can be immensely beneficial for clients with particular physical concerns or limitations, as well as for advanced athletes looking for a challenging and specialized workout.  

Group Pilates Training
Group Sessions are held on the Reformer and/or Chair equipment and are an additional cost. Prior to participating in these group sessions, 3 private equipment sessions or participation in 5 beginner classes are required. Participants with previous Pilates experience may be exempt from this requirement at the discretion of the instructor.  All classes are held in the Pilates Studio.  Class size is limited to 5 participants, and sign-up is required. 
Group Intro Pack (5 sessions) : $99
Private Intro Pack (3 sessions): $149

Policies

Cancellation Policy
To avoid being charged for private instruction or equipment classes, cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance.

Safety Policy  
Due to the highly specialized instruction required, Pilates equipment may not be utilized by members without a Certified Pilates Trainer present.
